VST not working in Ableton Live 11
#1
Did a search and saw some others having a similar issue but no resolution. The plug-in shows up in The browser, but when I try to open it in the DAW, it doesn’t actually open in the DAW, I just get a space that says “Drop Instrument Here” and a black space for the adjustable X-Y control.  Any ideas how o can get it to load properly?

The Emu VST doesn't show a GUI like DMXIS does, but it is like a bridge for sync with the standalone, and you will need to assign the channels and buttons you want to use; to do this select the thinkgs you want to map and then right-click and select "VST mapping" while the VST in Ableton is set to "configure".
Btw, this forum start to look like the forum of DMXIS, where the user posts have 0 replies, or take ages to get feedback xD
Hope that helps.

Kind of a bummer I invested in some Enttec products based on the reputation of DMXis but finding that the lack of support for this latest software is making it unusable for myself ☹️

I'm sorry for the delayed response, As hellishvictor has said EMU's VST needs you to map across the functions that you want to use. Has this been working for you?

If you need support with anything else, let me know.

I'm having this issue too! Do you have to open the standalone version then and map it across? because thats also not working either

No, if you have a look at the pic I attached in my first post, there’s nothing to map.  Unless I’m misunderstanding what you mean

Wow I got it to work! First I activated the IAC driver which of course I should have done anyway but it still didn't work until I uninstalled DMXIS and Showbuddy Active stand alone programs!?!

I've linked a short screen recording of me mapping a fader into the VST for your reference. Hopefully, this shows what I mean.

Extremely helpful, thank you. I ended up figuring this out by clicking around and looking through videos of DMXis, I just needed to know where to be looking to map it over from EMU.
